Most people take Adipex once a day on an empty stomach, either first thing in the morning or up to 2 hours after breakfast. The important thing to know is that Adipex will work best if taken as prescribed by a doctor. Don't chew or crush the tablets unless approved by a doctor first.
What If a Dose of Adipex is Missed?
If a dose is missed by a couple of hours, take it as soon as remembered. However, if it's late in the day, then just skip the missed dose and get back on schedule the next day. Never take a double dose in an attempt to "catch up." Taking a missed dose too late in the day may cause trouble sleeping that night.
What If I Take Too Much Adipex By Mistake?
Too much Adipex can result in an overdose and can cause overdose symptoms, including:
- restlessness
- tremor
- rapid breathing
- mental confusion
- hallucinations
- feelings of panic
- nausea and/or vomiting
- diarrhea
- feeling belligerent
- irregular heartbeat
- seizures
If any of these symptoms occur, seek medical attention right away. NEVER take more Adipex than is prescribed or take it for a longer period than prescribed.
How/Where Should Adipex be Stored?
All medication--including Adipex--should be stored tightly closed in its original container, at room temperature and in a place that is not close to heat, light or moisture. Make sure this and all medication is out of the reach of children.
